I’m a reading teacher trained in Orton-Gillingham reading methods and use the Wilson Program: Fundations. I assess students to determine the right starting level, then progress through each lesson. We meet at least three times a week, each session including 20 minutes of Wilson Fundations and 10 minutes focused on real-life functional reading and writing skills.

- Outlining Structure: Help students create outlines for their writing to ensure a clear beginning, middle, and end.
- Improving Sentence Structure: Teach sentence variety, proper grammar, and transitions between ideas.
- Developing Strong Introductions and Conclusions: Show students how to write engaging introductions and wrap up ideas effectively in conclusions.
- Editing for Clarity and Coherence: Assist with revising drafts to improve the flow of ideas and remove any unclear or repetitive content.
- Enhancing Vocabulary: teach precise words to strengthen writing and avoid repetition.
- Grammar and Punctuation Support: targeted help on grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Writing for Different Purposes: Help students understand how to adjust tone and style for essays, narratives, persuasive writing, and reports.
- Writing Practice Prompts: writing exercises or prompts to improve writing skills.
- Peer Review & Feedback: how to give and receive constructive feedback on their writing.
